Learn to Fish

This is the third annual fly fishing extravaganza!

Folks that are new or novice fly fishing anglers will have a full day of experiences that will leave them with confidence when they hit the water. This course will cover everything from tying flies, to equipment options, methods for safe catch and release, as well as several types of casting.

Dress for the outdoors, bring sunscreen, a camp chair, water, and snacks. We recommend bringing along a sack lunch, but there are nearby fast food options available if you forget.

Virtual Vise: Fly tying at Home. Come tie some flies with Ginger Miller, who is usually behind the camera, tying flies with materials she found at Dollar Tree, or Dollar store. We will have this material list ASAP. Stay tuned for some really neat flies on a budget.

Game Bird Hunting

Missouri Disabled Sportsmen, in partnership with DuckHorn Lodge and the Missouri Department of Conservation, will be hosting our 22nd annual Colonel Tom Peak Memorial Upland Bird hunt for mobility-challenged and youth hunters.

Thirty (30) hunters will be selected for this event from the pool of applicants.

The hunt will consist of safe shooting instruction, clay-bird shooting, a 360-bird continental pheasant shoot, lunch, raffle drawings, and field hunts with well-trained dogs and their handlers.
