Thirty-seven years later, the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) has studied how common forest management practices impact flora, wildlife, soil health and other ecosystem components. Take a virtual hike through Peck Ranch with MDC forester and district supervisor, Mike Keeley. Together we'll dive into the data of best woodland management practices and what the future holds for this study.

What are those fish darting beneath your feet in rivers or creeks? Join us for a virtual program all about Missouri darters. Missouri is home to more than 40 species of darters. Learn what makes these fish unique, where to find them, their conservation status, and how to identify them. All ages. This program is open to all ages but is designed for 6th grade and up. Tree stand Safety: Tree stand accidents are one of the major causes of hunting related injuries. Find out steps that you can take to ensure your safety while hunting from, and setting up, a tree stand. Several examples of different tree stands will be mentioned in this class.
